Key People

Mike Daly



Mike was raised on a family farm in Canterbury and has had a career in agricultural and horticultural research spanning 24 years, culminating with the Crown Research Institute, AgResearch. 

Mikes science career began in the High Country (Tara Hills research Station), progressed to the plains of Mid Canterbury (Winchmore Research Station) and then on to Lincoln (CASC) with AgResearch for 15 years.  Mike gained a wide skill base in applied research in arable, horticulture and pastoral systems, with more than 50 published papers and conference/seminar papers. Mike has gained an international reputation in organic farming and applied micro-organism technologies for farming systems with presentations to six Biennial International IFOAM conferences on Organic Farming from 1992 to 2005.

Since leaving AgResearch in 2002,  his focus has been the establishment of  Naturefarm, for the manufacture and sale of microbial technologies. 

Mike is also actively involved in the research and development of microbial technologies for integration into products for increased efficacy, and then the impact of these technologies on farming systems and the environment.

Paul Daly


Paul has recently returned to New Zealand from Australia and joined the family business.

After studying Commerce at Otago University, Paul embarked on a Career in marketing overseas. Based for the past 10 years in both Melbourne and the UK, after deciding to move back to New Zealand with his young family Paul jumped at the opportunity to work with his father and continue the crusade to help promote the practice of using microbes in New Zealand soils. Ben Post

Production & Research and Development

After completing a Chemistry degree at an overseas university, Ben worked for almost thirty years as a researcher at a state funded institute for applied industrial research. During this time he published regular research reports and presented papers at symposia. While working at the institute he improved his skills in chemical analysis, food technology and nutrition, and added a computer science degree to his academic qualifications. 

After working for a few years in the computer field, Ben was appointed as manufacturing chemist at a New Zealand factory that manufactures agricultural products. This gave him experience of production scheduling and factory management.

At Naturefarm, Ben is responsible for the production of microbial products, along with research and development for new products.

Paulette Sudlow

Administration Manager

Paulette is our Administrative Manager and also PA to the Managing Director.

Paulette comes with a back ground of Office Administration/Management, Customer Service and the Fitness Industry.

Paulette is a mother to a school aged son, and is passionate about health and fitness, she believes health starts from the inside.
