Do you want to improve your compost?

EM can help in a number of ways for aerobic type compost:

• reduce odors

• reduce flies

• speed up the breakdown process

• improve the quality

Or if you would like to make an anaerobic compost, then EM will provide the necessary "good bugs" to activate the process.

Making anaerobic compost is not unlike making silage!

For anaerobic compost, mix up your normal ratios of compost materials whilst adding the EM-A. Make sure your moisture content is at least 30%. Compact the heap and cover with a black plastic sheet and weigh down the sheet to exclude air. This encourages fermentation and a superior compost can eventuate.

How much EM to apply

• 2-3 litres of EM-A per cubic metres of compost

• Spray a 1% solution onto existing compost to control odor and flies, reapply as frequently as required to achive the desired result
